Springboard Hetton Hub

Springboard are excited to announce we have now successfully secured access to The Hetton Library.

Located within the heart of the Coalfields as part of The Hetton Centre, Springboards Hetton Hub will offer a range of services and free training to people of all ages and abilities, partners, schools and community groups, to support the development of sustainable communities, where people have the skills needed for work and life.

Building on Springboards successful 30 year history in the Coalfields, the Hub will promote and develop services and facilities for community access and activities, educational opportunities, volunteering, vocational skill development, employment readiness and also act as portal for Information, Advice and Guidance.

The Springboard Hetton Hub will be offering a range of local services based at the Hetton Centre as well as free access to computers and the internet to the local community to improve your IT skills from May 2018. You will also be able to access Universal Job Match and do your online job searches.

The drop in sessions will be 5 days a week with IT advice and support from our friendly Digital Champions.   We will also offer courses on a wide range of subjects covering all skill levels from Computers For Absolute Beginners, Job Search, IPads and Android tablets and Family Tree Online in a relaxed learning environment.  You can also learn how to access online services such as doctors’ appointments and apply for Universal Credit online to improve your life.
