Vehicle Maintenance

Vehicle Maintenance involves learners working on anything with wheels; cars, motorbikes, pedal bikes, go karts and more. This project is about you repairing, recycling and upcycling vehicles in need of a makeover and transforming them into practical and operational vehicles. 

Vehicle Maintenance promotes social enterprise with completed items being sold on via our digital marketing team and the funds will be used to reinvest into the project. Vehicle Maintenance is designed to support you to gain knowledge and skills in making transport vehicles and where applicable (if you finish the course) you can access a CBT (compulsory basic training) or £150 worth of driving lessons to support your future employment prospects.

Learners on our Vehicle Maintenance qualification will develop some of the key skills and understanding in building, servicing, repair and maintenance of all types of cycles. Candidates will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment or career progression in the cycle maintenance and building sector.

Qualifications needed

Entry Level – No previous qualifications are required for this programme, however, a pre-course interview will be required before a place is offered.

On completion of our Vehicle Maintenance qualification opportunities can include career progression to a range of jobs in the North East. There is also progression onto further training or employment including working in garages.
